Google +1 button make the search results sociable, everytime you click +1 button for a url, the url will get promoted in the searching rank results when your friends search the similar keywords.

I made a test by using my three G+ accounts: A(12000 followers) B(500 followers) C(10 followers). A/B/C , have google connections for each other, including gmail, buzz, reader and G+.

I search 2 keywords and choose the URL to click +1 button by signing in the three G+ accounts one by one. Then I search the same keywords by signing in A/B/C one by one, I would like to see how the search results influnced by your google friends. Below is the conclusion:

1. You can not see every +1d made by your google friends although they click +1 button. I thought it might be a postpone. Sometimes your friends click +1 button for a URL, but you don’t say the +1d made by your friend behind the URL.

2. Your close google friends’ +1 will make the regarding URL promoted in your searching results. Google is very smart to evaluate the relationship between you and your google friends. The quantity of google+ followers is not that important.

After the test, now I understand why google want every google profile is real name. The reason is stop spamming, stop some bad guys to register many G+ accounts to click their own websites. Real name means everyone can only one google profile. Only the google account who have profile can click +1 button.

The sociable searching rank results is very hard to get polluted by spammers.Google+ and +1 button will do an very important role in a sociable new google.

In the recent months, I always find spam email in the inbox, which sent from picasawebalbums-noreply@google.com. I an sure some bad guys use google picasa web album to send spam email. I don’t know how they can do it. I want to try but failed. I have to sign in the picasa web album before I can share the photos. So the sender will be my GMAIL instead of the google one: picasawebalbums-noreply@google.com.

I do hope Google can figure it out. It is really annoying.

In the past 2 months, it is very difficult to access gmail ( https://mail.google.com ) in China. Time out. Can not connect to the server. As a loyal google fan, I cann’t endure the days without accessing gmail. I can use VPN to climb the GFW and access web gmail smoothly.

If you don’t have an VPN to climb the GFW, you can use free email client software thunderbird to access gmail.

Download thunderbird and install on your PC.
Setup new mail account: FILE–NEW–MAIL ACCOUNT.
Input your gmail account info, thunderbird will read SMTP/POP3/IMAP server info automatically. What you need to do is just click “create account”.
Done. Enjoy Gmail.

After my test, when you can not access web gmail, you can still access your gmail via thunderbird.

It is hard to be a google fan in China

Google is a great invent in the internet era. Google is top.1 search engine in the world. But in China, it is very hard to be a google fan. The reason is apparently: Great Firewall of China. You can not access many google products in china, including: Youtube, Blogger, Google Sites.,etc.

Thanks God. Gmail is still accessable in China. Gmail means a fast and secure free web mail service to chinese netizens. Unlike Yahoo Mail, Yahoo sold out chinese user’s account info to china goverment.

Unfortunately, now GFW begin to take action to Gmail. In the past 2 months, chinese netizens found they can not access https://mail.google.com sometimes or it is very slow to open gmail.

Now if you still want to use gmail in china , you have to try to find a way to climb the wall. The most popular and trustable way is: VPN. I thought the trend of Google Adsense: Wap Site,Google Custome Search and Google Site. I would like to share my experience to build a wap site on the webhosting of Godaddy with you.

Based on the Deluxe Hosting(Linux) of Godaddy.
1.Build a subdomain http://wap.goblocksite.com which mapped on the directory goblocksite.com/wap for the wap site.
2.Write a file named .htaccess by text editor(notebook),you can copy the content below and save as .htaccess. Then upload the file to the directory goblocksite.com/wap.
